Associated with a hospital but no call unless you want to follow. Outpatient Procedures. Treat adults.
Hours -Monday - Friday: we are looking for coverage 2-3 x/week. 8 hour shift: probably 0800-1700. I am also looking for every Saturday coverage from 0800-1400. 2-3 x/week plus Saturday. If one of our current MDs is on vacation, we might ramp up to Monday - Friday for a short period of time to cover the vacation.
We are going to contract with the MD vs. hire them as a temporary employee. We want to see how they are going to work out before we would extend any type of employment arrangement to them. My preference is to not have to pay for housing, car, airfare, etc. I would like to try to find a local MD if at all possible due to the incurred costs.
Depending on experiene and whether B/E or B/Certified, $140K (maybe $150K or more). We have 2 Internal Medicine MDs in our primary care practice. As soon as we do this hire, we would stop the contracted call-in/part time MD so the new full timer could build a successful practice.

Vacation is based on employment status (40 hours, etc) and accrued based our standards. Same benefits the same as our hospital. MD, DO, or IMG’s with Green Card or Citizenship. (A-WK-10)

From the locums physician we placed there last year:
I enjoyed working with your client. His group is very well run and his staff and his colleagues are very courteous and professional. The Hospital is first rate!!!! with excellent medical staffing and ancillary services! I worked every day. I was always on call for my field (Pulmonology), because I was the only Pulmonologist on the island. Nonetheless, I had plenty of time left to enjoy the island life. The amenities on the island and the culture are exceptional. I had hospital priviliges to do all procedures expected in my field, including Bronchoscopy, Tube thoracostomy, pleural biopsy and pleurocentesis, placement of central venous catheters, interpretation of PSG's and PFT's, intubation, and ventilator management. I was managing the ICU/CCU w/ average of 6 pts/day, and consults on the medical wards averaging 4 -6 /d and following ~ 12 pts on the medical wards per day. Hospital size is ~ 400 beds. I had 1/2 day office every day, and 1 Saturday per month.
