My preference is to not have to pay for housing, car, airfare, etc. I would like to try to find a local MD if at all possible due to the incurred costs.
Depending on experiene and whether B/E or B/Certified, $140K (maybe $150K or more). We have 2 Internal Medicine MDs in our primary care practice. We have 2 other employed MDs (gynecologist and rheumatologist). We would like to add one more full time MD permanently. As soon as we do this hire, we would stop the contracted call-in/part time MD so the new full timer could build a successful practice.

I was always on call for my field (Pulmonology), because I was the only Pulmonologist on the island. Nonetheless, I had plenty of time left to enjoy the island life. Hawaii license only accepts MD diploma, res verific, usmle scores, ECFMG verifications from FCVS. You need to verify everything else. No need to use FCVS, however. For Guam licensing, FCVS is REQUIRED and they accept all of the FCVS verifications.
